The Thailand Yacht Show is returning 9th – 12th Jan at the Phuket Marina. Royal Phuket Marina’s Town Square, meanwhile, will host live music, fashion shows and classic car parades.

Songkran Water Festival falls in the 13th – 15th April in 2020. This national holiday is the Thai New Year celebration. Starting early morning, you are only supposed to sprinkle your family with a tiny cup of water for good luck. You also sprinkle a statue of Buddha respectfully. By the end of the day the streets are full of people taking part in a full scale water fight; particularly in areas like Kata and Patong.
Songkran in Koh Samui is not as busy but it remains one of the Island’s most lively and enjoyable celebrations.
Koh Samui Regatta is happening 23-30 May. The Regatta began in 2002 and has grown to a huge yachting spectacle involving 500 competitors from over 22 countries. It’s a fun time to be in Koh Samui with parties and events taking place throughout the island.
