I recently had the pleasure of a stay in Sydney with my family where we had a great time enjoying all the summer activities and family friendly beach side venues. There is so much to keep children occupied; aside from the stunning beaches and parks you are never far from the attractions of the city and harbour. Knowing where to stay in Sydney with kids can be difficult so here are 5 highly recommended locations:
1. Coogee
Coogee is currently Villa Getaways most in demand location for families and it’s easy to see why. The stunning beach hosts free activities on the beach in school holidays. Recently renovated Coogee Pavilion is a highly rated restaurant for families. It really is a beautiful destination for a holiday in Sydney with kids.

2. Bronte
Bronte has a bustling beach with a grassy area for kids to play. If you are a morning person Bronte is a great place to head off for an early walk, watch the sun rising over neighbouring Tamarama Beach or enjoy a swim in the ocean pool. Kids love the casual restaurants along the beach road as well as exploring the rock pools and caves along the Coogee to Bondi walk.

3. Camp Cove, Watson’s Bay
A visit to Camp Cove is a must. A quiet beach more popular with the locals than the tourists, we loved the charm of this little beach with its little cafe. There are snorkel tours taking place regularly if you feel adventurous and ample walking trails for exploring. Catch the ferry to circular Quay and see the sights of magnificent Sydney Harbour.

This Balinese resort style home has a prime location right on the beach with direct access. It is a totally private 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom luxury oasis. Beautiful designer furnishings for a luxury beach side experience.
4. North Bondi
A little quieter than Bondi and much easier to walk around with a stroller, North Bondi is the family friendly end of this famous stretch of beach. There is a playground and an ocean pool just for kids; so much to keep the little ones busy. The weekend market is terrific as are the cafes and boutiques dotted throughout the iconic Art Deco buildings.

5. Balmoral
Picture perfect and easy to get around. Balmoral offers large and luxurious accommodation options. The beach is calm with no waves for little ones to paddle or try snorkelling. Balmoral is within close proximity to Taronga Zoo, a must do if travelling to Sydney with kids.
